It may be tempting to use your name for your vanity number, but resist the urge. Unless your business name happens to be both easily recognizable and synonymous with your niche, choose a number that reflects your product or services. For example, 1-800-JEWELRY is a much better option for Johnson’s Jewelers than 1-800-JOHNSON. Remember that you want your toll-free number to do the talking for you, and having a number that merely states your company’s name isn’t going to convey to the customer what it is that you offer.
